Operation Christmas Child is a Project of Samaritan's Purse. Each year at Christmas time our church members put
together shoe boxes with gifts for children overseas. These boxes include toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and other items such as hard candy, flashlights, balls, and small books. These boxes are distributed to needy
children around the world who might otherwise never get a Christmas present. This is a great mission project to do as a family.
The Christian Aid Center in Walla Walla has been reaching out to the poor and homeless
since 1946. They provide evening meals and shelter for homeless men and families. Our church helps to prepare and serve a meal at the Christian Aid Center on a rotation with other churches in our region. Help is always needed
to prepare the meal and help serve at the Aid Center. If you would like to help on our night please contact Barb Abbey 337-8860. The Christian Aid Center is also constantly in need of a variety of things like razors, diapers,
pillows, Kool-Aid, etc. If you would like to help or donate please call the Christian Aid Center at 509-525-7153.
The Waitsburg Community Food Bank is staffed by the Christian and Presbyterian Churches and funded by the Waitsburg Ministerial Association. It is located at the
Presbyterian Christian Education Building at 508 Main Street, South Door Entrance. The Food Bank is open September through May on Saturdays from 9-11:30am and in the summer months by appointment. Food donations are always
needed and can be dropped off by contacting one of the numbers below. If you know someone in need of assistance please call:

Witnessing Ministries of Christ's mission to the "Untouchables"
of India is another mission we support. "Branded as impure from the moment of birth, one out of six Indians lives--and suffers--at the bottom of the Hindu caste system. They are Untouchable." (By Tom O'Neill, National Geographic, June 2003) We support this mission financially. Those finances are used to spread the Gospel, build up the Rural Presbyterian Church of India, and provide economic assistance that educates adults and children to create a sustainable income for their families.
